To the Four Corners was an exciting, interactive, live-streamed event co-created by Think Circus and communities along Edinburgh’s National Cycle Network celebrating artworks, beauty spots and local history along the route.
We worked with 78 children (aged 5-11) in 4 communities – Leith, Craigmilar, North Edinburgh and Colinton. Favourite spots along the National Cycle Network were chosen to be highlighted. Using performance tools taught by Think Circus, including storytelling, dance, crafts and circus skills, each group used their creativity and local knowledge to build a show.
The project ended with a live-streamed 90 minute show on Saturday 24th April 2021 which tells a story via the segments created in the workshops. This included live pop-up performances, pre-recorded content, and digital host guided audiences through the story, including updates and footage provided by roaming characters travelling on the NCN between the featured sites.
