To the Four Corners is an exciting, interactive, live-streamed event co-created by Think Circus and communities along Edinburgh’s National Cycle Network celebrating artworks, beauty spots and local history along the route.
Working with families and young people in Leith, Craigmilar, North Edinburgh and Colinton, favourite spots along the National Cycle Network are chosen to be highlighted.
Using performance tools taught by Think Circus, including storytelling, dance, crafts and circus skills, each group use their creativity and local knowledge to build a show.
The project ends with a live-streamed 90 minute show on Saturday 27 March 27 2021 which tells a story via the segments created in the workshops. This includes live pop-up performances and pre-recorded content.
A digital host guides audiences through the story, including updates and footage provided by roaming characters travelling on the NCN between the featured sites.
Creating a sense of occasion and excitement the live stream of this event will be accessed in a similar way to a live event. A simple map will help audiences locate areas seen in the live-stream.
Suitable for all ages.
In partnership with the Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust, YMCA Edinburgh and North Edinburgh Arts.
Supported by Sustrans’ ArtRoots programme with backing from Transport Scotland.
