Circus of Lights

In 2018 Think Circus ran a project to encourage people of all ages to use their local cycle network more. Over a period of 6 weeks 21 young people took part in circus and craft workshops run by Think Circus. The local children learnt some great new skills and worked together as a team to put on an amazing Glow Performance.

“All my girls have talked about is the circus sessions, they want to run down the street to get there every Monday, and they have been to every one. I’ve definitely seen an increase in their confidence.” Parent

This was just part of an amazing Circus of Lights Glow Parade along a stretch of the National Cycle Network setting off from Sandy’s Community Centre in Craigmillar. The parade was accessible to all.

Circus of Lights was funded by Sustrans with backing from Transport Scotland through the ArtRoots Fund.
