Think Circus’s vision is to create a healthier, happier society of confident learners. We foster healthy attitudes to learning and build resilience in young people, and equip people of all ages with skills to be active in their everyday lives. As a Community Interest Company, we use our profits to provide free circus sessions to young people from low income families in order to support their mental and physical health and improve life chances.
Think Circus was formed by Kat Borrowdale, a circus artist, teacher and event manager originally from Oxford, UK.
Inspired by her own journey through the challenges of learning physical activity, Kat found that circus opened doors in her whole approach to life, and is passionate about passing this on to others.
Her experience in the Scottish arts and performance scene spans over ten years and includes establishing the annual MugStock Festival, touring the Commonwealth Youth Circus and working on events such as the Village Storytelling Festival and NVA’s Speed of Light. She has a degree in English Literature and a Diploma in Physical Theatre Practice.
