Circus teaches that you can keep trying despite failure, that you always have the capacity to improve and learn, and that physical activity can be fun, rewarding and leave you feeling happier. Through our sessions we embed principles of resilience, build social relationships and encourage physical activity that is non-competitive and fun. Our work with young people has made it apparent to us that the importance of play, physical activity and a creative outlet has never been more needed.
You can email email@example.com to discuss what would work best for your school, or choose from our three most popular options:
Start off the day with a performance for the whole school, including hula hoop, contact juggling and glow shows. This is followed by workshops throughout the day, tailored to each age range, or we can train several groups to present a showcase at the end of the day.
Hula Hoop Physics
Our unique and engaging shows and workshops introduce the science of hula hooping through accessible, interactive demonstrations. Our 30 minute show Ringleaders and Saboteurs was developed with support from the Institute of Physics, and was first performed at the Glasgow Science Festival in June 2017.
The immersive, imaginary magic of storytelling is combined with the visual displays of circus, in a 30 minute show that takes you through the story of a hopeful circus apprentice. This show can be combined with a day of separate circus and storytelling workshops to ensure that all learning styles and abilities are encompassed. The story explores our core themes of resilience, tenacity and playfulness.
